Früshport won the Open Div. and the Gronical Dizziness, the Women Div.
And the Mooncatchers ? 7th place, on 10. They did well with a mixed team of juniors, almost beginners, and experienced players.
But best thing comes : Spirit Award winners !

Final results #BUOC
I'm going to go straight to point: we aren't Belgian champions this year. Gentle is. We lost the finals, after a tight game.
We had a very strong Gentle in front of us. We know their game, its quality, and we knew that any mistake would be fatal to us. And indeed.
We totally missed the beginning of the game. Several mistakes that let Gentle score 2-0.
And then, all game long, same scheme: we score, they score/ we come back, they score again... we couldn't fight hard enough to take the lead during the game. They had a strong and good defence, we messed up several offenses, as they messed up also, but they succeeded in stopping us from leading by any point.
Anyway, we aren't ashamed, nor about that game, neither about our 2nd BUOC WE.
Indeed, we beat all our opponents with clear victories, except during the semis against Diabolic Heaven (14-12) and of course the finals.
I speak for myself but I've never seen our team so solidary and with a so big fighting spirit since a long time, at least during a whole tournament.
I still speak for myself for next part. Of course there is frustration... like after losing any final. But not so much. Not so much because of the avarage level of the game, which was one of the highest in a final of the BUOC since a long time. I don't think a team was better than the other. I think Gentle didn't make the mistakes we did, or at least not at a such bad moment than in the beginning of the game...
Always speaking for myself, I also think the avarage level of the spirit was alright, that I have to say. The pressure of a final was in the mind of everyone, and I think we all relatively kept our calm, even if certain calls, or phases could have been discussed. I think we let passed things we shouldn't have, and I think our oppenents did the same, it's part of the level that's getting higher and higher, I think. I mean, you won't call anything when you succeeded to pass the disc to score even if your defender made a foul on you (I take that as an example, I'm not saying it happened during the game). Normally you should call it, because it is written in the rules, but we all tend to accept more and more things in order to get victorious.
But that is alright, it was a good lesson for us. It reminds us the importance of saying things at the right moment, and the (so big) importance of spirit circles. And let me be clear: we didn't lose on shit calls or discussions, and I'm not saying "we lost because they were mean" or whathever, we lost because they succeeded to play better at the right moments than us, because Gentle is a strong and solid team and the victory remains theirs.
We know the general level in Europe is becoming higher and most of the time, elite teams are tending to make and accept little contacts or voluntary violations. We don't want this in Belgium and that's way our spirit is the best in the world.
I just want to say congratulations to them. They won the title, and it is deserved after the season they made.
Congrats also to Moon 2, winner of the 2nd division. Those guys are the future of the club, and they're amazing, even if they were helped by Arnaud and VVV, two excellent former key players of Moon 1.
That means we have two teams in 1st division, now !
At last, we wanted, in the name of the Club, to congratulate Freezz Beezz and Diabolic Heaven against whom we made two good games. We had really good impression after our games against them, and we really think they are serious opponents for the years to come. We can count on them.
Special mention to the Diabolic Heaven who went to the semis, loosing only one game in the high pool. We aslo hope that Oli's gonna be fine (injured really badly just in front of my eyes).
Also special mention to our friends from Jet Set, the showgame was a quarter-final for them, and the game was really high leveled and high spirited. Thanks for that.
Cheers to all of you in Belgium, congrats to everyone, to Proppellers and Gentle (green or black petards, I can't remember) for winning the spirit in 2nd and 1st division. Continue that way.

Results #BUOC
Moon 1 won all games in the first part of the pools round, finishing all their games to 13 (score ending the game before the time limit of 60 min).
We were then in the high pool, in order to get to the semis.
6 teams in the high pool: Jet Set, Gentle, Moon, Freezz Beezz, Huyltimate, Diabolic Heaven. The 4 best teams goes to the semis.
Moon 1 has already lost against Gentle and Diabolic Heaven by 1 point only. They are then in trouble if they want to make it to the top 4. They still have to play against Jet Set, FB and Huyltimate.
As far as Moon 2 is concerned, they won all their games in the first part of the pool round in Div2, so they are on the good way to make it to the 1st division.
Good luck to both teams.

Preview #BUOC
Next week-end, we'll drive to Bruges for the first part of the Belgian Ultimate Outdoor Championships.
Our objectives are clear:
For the Mooncatchers 1: winning the championships, in order to get our 11th Belgian title, and to qualify for the EUCR-C in Nuremberg.
For the Mooncatchers 2: winning the second division, in order to start next year in 1st division.
This year we welcomed new faces in Moon 1, and some of Moon 1 will help Moon 2 this year, such as Arnaud, who's starting outdoor again after being injured during a long time, Tom, also due to a lung problem, had to stop practicing sport during 5 months and who just has put his cleats on since a short month, and Eric aka VVV, who's getting too old to play at the 1st division level.
The second WE will be held in Ghent, on April 21st and 22nd.
"Est-ce que j'ai pas raison ? "

BUIC Open division: 5th title
Yesterday were held in Brussels, in our very own Hammer Dome, the BUIC play offs.
The 5 top teams of both division had to fight hard to get the title. And the Mooncatchers did what they had to do.
First, the Mixed Team. Unbeated team of the tournament, they wanted the title. They had no pressure, because the objective of this year were the access to the play offs. First objective acomplished. But unfortunately, they couldn't get the title.
Going further was too difficult. Indeed, the only game they HAD to win, they lost it.
To many mistakes against the SCHIJNWERPERS from Antwerpen. Mostly in the beginning. Even the key players had difficulties to stop their offense, and made too many drops and bad passes when they had the disc to score.
Deception for them. But what is positive is the fact they lost only one game during the whole indoor season. Congrats to them, depsite of the only game lost which stoped them on the road to victory.
Anyway, the Open team did their job, taking their 5th title of the Open Division. It's the 10th title of the club, BUOC, BUIC and BBC together.
The Open play offs were, again, amazing.
Let us explain the situation.
There are 2 games left. Huyltimate is out, and Moons just lost against Freez Beez from Bruges after an amazing game which ended at universe point. Four teams are still on the road to the play offs:
Diabolic Heaven, Freez Beez, Gentle, Mooncatchers. Next 2 two games: DH vs FB and Moons vs Gentle.
Here's the deal: If Diabolic Heaven win their game against the Beez, it let us a chance to get the title if we beat Gentle just after and place Freez Beez at the 4th place. It let also a chance to DH to get the title in case of victory of Gentle against the Moons. Second scenario: FB beat DH, Moons win against Gentle, FB champions. Second scenario bis: FB beat DH, Gentle win against Moons, Gentle champions.
Fortunately Diabolic Heaven won. Gentle and the Beez were then out. Last game of the day between Moons and Gentle would define who would be champion between Moons and Diabolic Heaven.
You know the rest of the story.
